Based on data from a Bible, whole contemporary humans are descended from either Seth across his dandy-low-swell-nifty-groovy-dandy-grandson Noah. Based on data from a Book of Jubilees, Seth married his younger sister Azura, was 105 after his boy Enos was born, and he died at a age of 912. Around rabbinic literature, the title Seth (Hebrew: Sheth) is explained as meaning "foundation." Based on data from this tradition, Seth wwhen perceived as a "Foundation of the World," since he was a number 1 antecedent of mortal beings to exist as born of human parents.

Inside Latter-day Saint theology, Seth was ordained by Adam at the age of sixty-soixante-neuf years. 3 years before Adam's dying, he blessed Seth that his posterity would become "the chosen of the Lord" & that it would become "preserved unto the end of the earth" (D&C [http://scriptures.lds.org/dc/107/42#42 107:42]). What is more, Seth was "a perfect man, and his likeness was the express likeness of his father" (500&C [http://scriptures.lds.org/dc/107/43#43 107:43]). Seth is likewise the title of a Jaredite in the Book of Mormon (Ether [http://scriptures.lds.org/ether/1/10-11#10 1:10-11] and [http://scriptures.lds.org/ether/11/9#9 11:9]).
Josephus refers to Seth as a virtually all notable of the sons of Adam in the Antiquities of the Jews, and reports that his descendant built a Pillars of the sons of Seth.
Several supposed Jesus to have been a boy of Joseph, who was the descendent of Seth (Luke 3:23-38).
